      POSITION SUMMARY

      Property Maintenance Specialist needed to assist with various projects at our employee housing. Must have five (5) years of actual experience with general building repair and maintenance.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES
      • Maintain a safe working environment and practice a safe work philosophy
      • Monitor building facilities for full operation and follow through with preventive procedures
      • Fall & spring: focus on general repair and maintenance of The Ponds buildings interior and exterior surfaces including drywall, paint and various coatings.
      • Use of tools such as electrical testers, amp probes, power and pneumatic tools, and other tools related to the building or maintenance fields
      • Purchase parts as needed subject to policy
      • Other duties as assigned

        REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
        • Must possess knowledge concepts of materials, equipment and tools characteristic to facilities maintenance
        • Five years actual experience with general building repair and maintenance required
        • Knowledge of appliance repair and installation:
          • Basic understanding of general repair/installation: dishwashers, refrigerators, ranges, etc.
          • Basic Plumbing: installing toilets, vanities, water supply lines, install water heaters, garbage disposals.
          • Basic Electrical skills: replace switches, receptacles, light fixtures, etc.
          • Basic Carpentry: door replacement/repair cabinet work, trim work, drywall repair
          • Assist with budgeting for future in house projects, capital maintenance projects and general building/appliance preventative maintenance.
          • Detailed record keeping on repairs and maintenance of appliances and buildings.
          • Experience with boilers, suppression systems, heating and ventilating systems, pneumatic systems, circulating pumps, compressors, and plumbing systems, helpful.
          • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp Service Excellence standards
          • Might be contacted at home after hours in case of a facility-orientated emergency
          • Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check

            EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
            • High school diploma/GED required

              The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

              Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

              PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
              • Lift, move and carry approximately 50 lbs. on a recurring basis
              • Perform assigned work, indoors or outdoors at times in harsh winter conditions, off ladders, scaffolding or in confined areas
              • Must have a valid driver license and meet company driver standards
              • Read, write and communicate clearly in the English language
